Gerald Marvin

 

Gerald Marvin of LaCrosse, Kansas. Comrade Marvin has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 48 years and is a Life Member of Post 3147 LaCrosse. He has previously served in many offices, including Post Quartermaster, District Chaplain, and District Commander for 2 years. Gerald earned his eligibility through service in the U.S. Navy with overseas dates from January-June 1968 and July 1972-February 1973 in the Tonkin Gulf Vietnam where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal.

Michael Holland

 

Michael B Holland of VFW Post#1254, Arkansas City, joined the VFW in 1969. Became a life member in 1977 and Post Commander. He has held several offices at the Post, District, and Department levels. These offices include Post Commander, District Commander, and currently 3rd District Surgeon. He has also received several National appointments including Aide-de-Camp. Michael earned his eligibility in Vietnam with the US Army, serving with 1st Infantry Division(The Big Red One). Michael served from Feb 1968 to April 1969, earning the Combat Infantryman's Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Pat Briggs

 

Pat Briggs of Lyons, Kansas. Comrade Briggs has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 47 years and a Life member of Post 3111, Great Bend. He has previously served in many offices on the Post, District and Department levels. They include Post Quartermaster, District Commander for 2 years, Department Liaison for the Student Veterans of America, Department Programs Chairman and the Veterans Service Committee. He has also received several National appointments including Aide-de-Camp and National Committees. Pat earned his eligibility through service in the U.S. Navy with overseas dates from November-December 1968, April-October 1969 and November 1971-July 1972 in the Gulf of Tonkin and DaNang Harbor where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Herb Schwartzkopf

 

Herb Schwartzkopf has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 38 years and is a Gold Legacy Life member. He has previously served in many offices, including Post Commander, Quartermaster, District Commander, State Surgeon and State Commander. Herb earned his eligibility through service in the US Navy in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972. He was the 69th recipient of the Triple Crown Award and the first and only in Kansas.
